Welcome to my first blog, and I hope you enjoy it! My name is Bethany, and I’m a dedicated professional based in Arizona. I will relocate to Las Vegas soon to broaden my future opportunities. As an independent professional and mother balancing three jobs while pursuing higher education, I bring resilience, grit, adaptability, and a strong work ethic to everything I do.
With a diverse background spanning IT, finance, mortgage, massage therapy, and eyelash extensions, I have developed a unique blend of technical and interpersonal skills. For over 16 years, I’ve worked with a local credit union, serving in various roles that have given me broad industry insight. Currently, I serve in the IT Help Desk Support department, where I apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and attentive listening to resolve technical issues.
Although I have about four years of experience in IT, the field is still relatively new to me, and I continue to grow and learn daily. My current role has inspired me to return to school and pursue a formal degree in Information Technology, aiming to advance within my current organization or explore new opportunities in the tech industry.
Through this course, I plan to build a strong foundation in technology, gaining a deeper understanding of hardware, software, and system functionality. I’m particularly eager to explore the inner workings of PCs, including their components and operations. While I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the vastness of the tech world, especially in programming languages, I am committed to learning. I would greatly benefit from visual aids and hands-on instruction.
I’m excited about what lies ahead and look forward to expanding my knowledge and confidence in information technology.
